About
Reflections: From Bach to Villa-Lobos features pianists Ricardo Roche Idini and
Charlotte Roberts in a program of contrasting styles. From Johann Sebastian Bach’s
French Suite No. 5 to Ludwig van Beethoven’s Fantasia in G minor, the music moves
between structure and freedom. Works by Franz Liszt and Béla Bartók lead to the
colour and energy of Heitor Villa-Lobos’s Ciclo Brasileiro.
