About
The FEIT Lab & Tech Clusters + CBE Lab Safety Working Group are delighted to announce the 1st workshop for our
2026 Safety Masterclass Series, on the topic of ‘Risk assessment and OHS Documentation’!
When: 10 am – 11 am Wednesday, 3 June 2026, followed by Morning Tea (11 – 11:30 am)
Where: G20 Theatre, Chemical Engineering 1, Building 165
Delivery mode: In person ONLY
Graduate research students within the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering are strongly encouraged to attend. All other lab users (e.g., research fellows, research assistants, etc.) are also encouraged to participate.
These masterclasses are interactive workshops developed and delivered by our CMM (Chemical Materials Manufacturing) and BB (Biomedical and Bioengineering) clusters, aiming to equip all lab users with up-to-date and consistent OHS practices to maintain a positive safety culture within the school. We will cover practical OHS content beyond online OHS training modules and standard local area inductions.
In 2026, these include:
- Risk assessment and OHS Documentation
- Chemical management and storage
- Waste management and disposal
We would like to thank members of the FEIT Lab & Tech Clusters and the CBE Lab Safety Working Group who have contributed to the development and delivery of the masterclass series.
Your attendance will be recorded, and a Certificate will be issued to you after you have completed 4 masterclasses cumulative over a 24-month period.
Please note to secure your place in this session and for catering purposes, registration is compulsory.
