Chloe Lankshear & Heathcliffe Auchinachie|Fleeting Fragments
Guitarist Heathcliffe Auchinachie and Soprano Chloe Lankshear perform works that glimpse into the surreal, the impressionistic, the inspired, and the fragmented. With modern settings of much older texts, or the notation of Nature’s sounds recollected, this program recognises the thread of inspiration that connects what has come before with what is yet to be written.
Featuring works by Poppe, Finnissy, Illean, Dean, Corrales, and Henze, the duo presents a taster of more recently written works that have inspired them in their search for new sonic possibilities, expression, and a broader palette of sound from which to draw on.
