Sarah Cabrol-Douat - Solo Recital
Originally from Launceston, Sarah’s career has taken her from Australia to Moscow, from Germany to London and Paris, where she now resides. Her playing reflects a wide influence of musical cultures and pianistic styles.
The program Sarah has chosen for this recital, with works of Mozart, Schubert and Scriabin, reflects the wide variety of musical cultures and pianistic styles she has been exposed to throughout her career.
Sarah has performed in such venues as Steinway and Sons and St. Martin in the Fields in London, the Chapelle Eugene Napoleon in Paris, with the Duisburg Orchestra (Germany) and as part of the International Festival of Mantua (Italy).
Now based in Paris, Sarah performs both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. She recently launched a series of educational concerts, ‘Musical Sundays’, at the Ecole de Musique La Piana, where she has been professor of piano since 2005. Sarah returns regularly to Australia to give recitals and masterclasses and is thrilled to be performing at Tempo Rubato again this year.
