Refresher Course - MHFA
About
The Refresher course for Standard MHFA refreshes trained MHFAider adults (18+) how to provide initial support to people developing mental illness or experiencing mental health crises. It is a 5-hour course with no pre-work required. The online workshops will run for 2.5hrs each on the same day with a half hour break in between. You need to register with the same email address that Mental Health First Aid - Australia has on file for your current accreditation. If you need to update your email address, contact them directly via mhfa@mhfa.com.auYou'll refresh your understanding of:
* Signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions
* Where and how to access professional help
* Evidence-based support strategies
* How to provide first aid in mental health emergencies
You will also require your paperback course manual (version 4) for the online workshop. If you don't have one or not version 4 please let Kristie know before course via kristie@wkr.net.au
After completing the online workshops you will receive a short online quiz to complete to receive your three year extended accreditation.
