This course is designed for adults who have previously completed the Standard Mental Health First Aid course and want to renew their accreditation while revisiting key skills, knowledge, and best practice approaches to supporting someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.Mental health knowledge evolves, and refresher training helps ensure your skills remain current, practical, and aligned with the latest evidence-based guidance from Mental Health First Aid Australia.
Whether you’re a manager, frontline worker, educator, volunteer, carer, or someone passionate about supporting others, this refresher course helps you maintain the confidence to step in when someone may need support.
What you’ll refresh and strengthen:
- recognising signs that someone may be experiencing a mental health problem
- confidently starting supportive conversations
- providing initial help during mental health crises
- responding to situations such as panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, trauma responses, and severe distress
- encouraging professional support and ongoing self-care
- understanding updated best practice approaches in mental health support
Current and Accredited Standard MHFAiders are eligible to attend.
