The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and Consumers Health Forum (CHF) released a new statement in May 2026 on involving consumers and communities in health and medical research. The statement emphasises this involvement is essential, and highlights that research is more relevant and impactful when shaped by people with lived experience.This seminar will provide an overview of the revised statement and how to ensure engagement with consumers is consisent, respectful and effective.
