*About this Concert*This concert is to share our love of Scottish fiddle music with the local community of Travencore and Moonee Valley, but it's also to help us raise funds for an exciting project this year...The Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club is recording a new CD in October! This concert, and many of our activities and events this year, help us to meet the costs of recording, production and licensing for our new CD.
This will be our 8th studio recording in our 31-year history. Our last CD was recorded in 2018, many years ago now.

This performance will take place at St George's Anglican Church Travencore. The Club is grateful to St George's Anglican Church and its Friends of Music Series for welcoming us once again to their beautiful church.
Although no stragers to St George's, it has been a while since the Club's last concert at the Parish or in the local area. We are excited to reconnect with the local community, and we look forward to sharing music, friendship and community with audiences old and new.
*About the Melbourne Scottish Fiddlers*
The Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club spreads its love of Scottish music through raucous reels, strathspeys, waltzes and moving ballads.
Now in its 31st year, the club continues to foster the incredible talent of Australian musicians and composers. They took their music and infectious energy across the seas to Canada in 2025, and this year they will be recording their 7th studio album in October.
With members of all abilities, all ages from 8 to 80-something, and all stages of playing, the Club is a welcoming and dynamic community music group. Although members number over 100, at a typical performance you can expect 30-40 performers playing top notch music they have taken to the stages of festivals including the National Folk Festival, the National Celtic Festival, the Melbourne Tartan Festival and Port Fairy Folk Festival, to name but a few.
Whether you have Scottish roots or simply enjoy great live music, come along and experience the warmth, passion and spirit of the Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club.
