This interactive session covers who sets the budget and the role of the board and the CFO, in the budgeting process the steps in developing a budgeted income statement, understanding how cost behaviour (ie. fixed and variable costs) impact on the development of a budget. The session also uoutlines the difference between a budget and a forecast as well as the typical questions that should be asked when presented with a budget. Finally, the webinar goes through how variances are calculated and how they can be presented using traffic light systems.The webinar is built around an interactive budgeting case study so participants work through the principles in real time.
This session is ideally suited to hospital administrators, department heads, and anyone responsible for setting, developing, or managing budgets.
