The Bialik College Parents' Association presents the Beginner Mahjong Series.Mahjong has become one of Melbourne’s most popular social games- combining strategy, connection, and fun in a relaxed and engaging environment. Whether you’re completely new to the game or have always wanted to learn, this series is designed to make Mahjong social and enjoyable.
In August, the Friday morning sessions will be led by Belinda Caviglia, a former Bialik parent. Belinda spent 17 years living in Hong Kong, where she first learned and fell in love with Mahjong. Since returning to Melbourne, she has built a strong following teaching Hong Kong-style Mahjong within the local community, known for her warm, relaxed, and highly engaging teaching style.
Over four weeks, participants will learn the fundamentals of the game in a supportive and social setting, with plenty of hands-on play and guidance along the way.
Details:
*When: Fridays in August (7th, 14th, 21st & 28th)
*Time: 8:30am – 10:30am
*Location: Bialik in the Shuk
*Cost: $120 for 4 x 2-hour lessons
Spaces will be limited to 16 participants to ensure an enjoyable and interactive learning experience for everyone.
Please note that a minimum of 8 participants is required for the series to proceed. If minimum numbers are not reached, the program may unfortunately not go ahead - so feel free to invite friends and help spread the word!
