Get hands-on these school holidays and create a bold, bug‑tastic sculpture at the Gallery! In this fun and immersive workshop, children will design and build their own 3D beetle artwork using recycled materials, cardboard, paint and plenty of imagination.This workshop is facilitated by exhibiting artist Kym Cunningham, whose work features in The Magnificent Land of Wondrous Beings. Participants will explore Kym’s beetle artworks on display before learning how artists use recycled materials to build textured, imaginative forms.
Working step‑by‑step, children will explore shape, texture and pattern as they transform everyday materials into a unique beetle creation with intricate details. Everyone will take home a finished beetle sculpture to proudly display.
When: Tuesday 30 June
Time: 10.30am – 2.30pm
Cost: $45 per child
Ages: 6+ years
All materials provided.
Please bring a packed lunch and water bottle.
