Kenta Nakagome O-daiko Workshop (SOLD OUT)
About
This is a rare chance to study playing o-daiko—the big drum—with one of Japan’s leading performers.In this workshop, you’ll learn core rhythms for o-daiko and hone your own unique sound. Kenta will guide you through basic o-daiko playing techniques and bachi (drumstick) movements, helping you harness your individuality.
The session will conclude with rotating solos, underpinned by Kenta’s base rhythm, giving every participant a chance to step forward and share their sound with the group. This workshop will feel like a conversation about o-daiko, and questions are welcome throughout.
