About
Exploring the Inner Landscape
Join us for a gentle and supportive 3-week experiential workshop series combining Qigong and art therapy.
This small-group offering invites participants to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore their inner landscape through movement, stillness, creativity, and reflection.
Rather than focusing on performance or artistic outcomes, this series emphasises personal experience, embodied awareness, and self-expression in a safe and nurturing environment.
No prior experience in Qigong or art is required.
Workshop Dates and Time
- Sundays: 16, 23 & 30 August 2026
- 10am - 1pm
What to Expect
Each session follows a gentle and supportive flow, including grounding practices, dynamic and meditative Qigong, art therapy exploration, and optional sharing and reflection. While participants are welcome to join individual sessions, the full 3-week series offers a more complete and integrated experience.
Thematic Journey
Each session is inspired by qualities associated with the Five Elements framework:
Session 1 – Wood
Growth, Flowing, Unfolding
Liver – Hun Yuan Palace awareness and free flow of Qi
Session 2 – Fire
Joy, Connecting, Opening
Heart – Middle Dantian connection and relational resonance
Session 3 – Water
Depth, Reflecting, Returning
Kidney – Lower Dantian grounding and inner restoration
Together, the series is designed to support a gradual journey from expression and connection towards deeper inward awareness.
About the Facilitators
The workshops are hosted by Heidi Yuen, who will guide the Qigong component and hold the overall structure and flow of the sessions, together with art therapy facilitators who will support the creative and reflective process.
The Qigong practices are drawn from traditional Chinese medicine and Qigong principles, with an emphasis on embodied awareness, breath, movement, stillness, and the cultivation of internal connection. The art therapy sessions will be held in a gentle, non-directive, and process-oriented manner.
Important Notes
No artistic skill or previous experience is required. This is a gentle experiential and reflective group process, and participants are encouraged to honour their own pace and boundaries. A consent form must be completed prior to the event.
The group is intentionally kept small to support a safe and meaningful experience. Facilitators may be in training or early in professional practice. While supportive and therapeutic in nature, the workshop is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment.
