Stall Holders wanted for Jan-27 Creative Artisans Village
About
The Wandin Rotary Club will be running a "Community Connections - Creative Artisan's Village" event in the Wandin North Hall every last Sunday of the Month. This is an opportunity for local Artisan's, Crafters, People with Talent in the South East Victoria Area to have a stall 3mtrs x 2mtrs (table and chair provided, inside hall) to promote and sell goods, promote or run workshops etc. We can cater for up to 20 artisans. There is also an outside space for garden artisans or sculptures. The hall also contains a large kitchen.
There will be a Mad Hatters Cafe with Coffee Tea and Scones & Rotary will have their Sausage Sizzle..
The aim is to make this event colourful, inspiring people to appreciate Art.
The hall is huge and cosy, being a dome shape with timber walls and thatch roof and lots of windows so plenty of light.
If you wish to see more photos of the hall, please email Jeanette rotary@finditlocally.com.au.
A main attraction for the launch will be a 40-50 meter long crochet EEL called Zoe, The Yarra Valley Eel.
At the event we will be running crochet lessons and give people an opportunity to crochet the large Octopus we will have in place in a workshop.
On the day there will be Line Dancing Classes at the front of the hall (where the stage is) giving the event plenty of attraction. Also, a colourful piece of art dividing the room from the Artisan Village to the Dance/Action Area.
The Rotary Club of Wandin will take a Gold Coin Donation and run a Sausage Sizzle.
We aim to inspire more people to enjoy handmade crafts, explore the art of recycling and get involved with more hands on activities and workshops.
Stall holders will have a nice warm space to showcase their talents and goods. Stall holders can hire extra tables for $10 each. The doors open at 9am for setup and 10am we open for visitors. This runs to 4pm and then its pack up time, doors close at 5pm.
If you are a person of the Arts then why not come along and join the "Creative Artisan Village" and benefit from our broad Marketing Strategy full of new ideas to attract visitors. You will also be promoted with our website, social media etc.
If you are a new local Artisan near Wandin, Seville, Woori Yallock then this could also be an opportunity to find out more about being a member of our "Wandin Rotary Artisan Club" as it offers many benefits. Often it is easier to be part of a group than doing it alone.
