Penola Catholic College invites you to cheer on bands from 7 secondary schools as they battle it out in our 2026 Battle of the Bands:Battle Down Under: The Best of Aussie Music Through the Ages
Australia is home to countless locally and internationally renowned musicians, spanning genres and generations. Australian music is shaped simultaneously by international influences and an isolation from other countries that leads to our uniquely Aussie innovation and sound.
In this year’s Battle of the Bands, we celebrate our country’s incredible musical history shaped both by those born here and those from around the world who choose to call the land down under home.
The night will feature bands from:
Penola Catholic College
Gladstone Park Secondary College
Hume Anglican Grammar
Kolbe Catholic College
Mercy College, Coburg
Overnewton Anglican Community College
Reservoir High School
Tickets: $20
Strictly NO refunds.
This event will run for approximately 3 hours, inclusive of an interval.
Refreshments can be purchased at the canteen.

- To enter the auditorium, patrons will enter via a flight of stairs with a handrail (Seats 1-14) or via a ramp with a handrail (Seats 15-37). Inside the auditorium, there are stairs down to each row of seating. There is not a handrail inside the auditorium.
- Wheelchair acess: Seats N28 and P29 are open spaces available for patrons who need to remain seated in a wheelchair.
- Seats N29-N35 are accessible via a ramp, no stairs.
- Seats in Row A are accessible via a ramp, no stairs. High-numbered seats are nearest to the accessible entrace. Entry to Row A via use of the ramp must be organised in advance with Penola staff so an escort can be arranged.
