An Introduction to Creative Arts Therapy:
The intersections, differences and possibilities of arts-based therapeutic practice.
Creative Arts Therapy is an increasingly recognised therapeutic approach (and subsequent career option) that uses creative and expressive processes to support emotional exploration, insight, regulation and connection. This webinar introduces participants to the foundations of Creative Arts Therapy and explores its relationship with counselling, highlighting key similarities and differences between verbal and arts-based therapeutic approaches incorporating music, art, dance and drama.
Participants will explore clinical applications across diverse populations to emphasise the scope of practice in Creative Arts Therapies and dive into some practical examples to get a firsthand sense of arts-based therapeutic processes in action.
No artistic experience required — only curiosity!
