AI in General Practice: Beyond the Scribe

Please join The Cairns Group GPs on the 2nd of June for a lively discussion on the application of Artificial Intelligence in General Practice.We will consider issues like health information, diagnostic tools, scribes and data safety, and ask the question "are we and our patients safe in the new age of technology in medicine?"
Dr Trent Yarwood is an Infectious Diseases Specialist and also a senior health policy advisor for Future Wise a non-government organisation focusing on health, technology and education. He is interested in big data in healthcare, the ethics of public health surveillance, and privacy in digital health.
Dr Clare Heal and Dylan Shakespeare from James Cook University are researching the role of AI in systematic reviews and use AI for data interpretation and statistics.
Formal presentations will be brief as we open discussion with local GPs on how they use AI scribes and more in their clinics.
