An afternoon of chamber music and choral masterworks awaits at All Saints Anglican Church, as the outstanding young instrumentalists of Burgmann Anglican School join forces with the Choir of All Saints Ainslie for a richly varied and uplifting programme.From the elegance and lyricism of Cécile Chaminade, Gabriel Fauré, and Mel Bonis to contemporary Australian works by Grant Horsley, the concert showcases the colour, intimacy, and vitality of chamber music at its finest. At the heart of the programme lies Parry’s moving Songs of Farewell and Vaughan Williams’ O How Amiable, arranged to include the full forces on offer.
Performed by some of Canberra’s most promising young musicians alongside one of the city’s long-standing parish choirs, this concert offers an opportunity to hear great music in the beautiful acoustic of All Saints Ainslie. We warmly invite you to join us for an enjoyable afternoon of fine music in one of Canberra’s most distinctive and historic churches.
