The Maryborough Branch of the Australian Labor Party warmly invites you to attend the second Clive Stoneham Oration, an event dedicated to celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Clive Philip Stoneham.

Clive Philip Stoneham (1909–1992) was a distinguished figure in Australian politics and a devoted advocate for regional Victoria. Serving for over 27 years as an ALP Member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly, he held significant ministerial positions, including Minister of State Development and of Decentralisation, where he championed the growth of regional manufacturing and the prosperity of our towns. From 1958 to 1967, he served as the Leader of the Opposition, consistently fighting for fairness, social justice, and the rights of ordinary Victorians.
