Rich Davies & The Low Road with special guest Joyce Prescher
About
Rich Davies & The Low Road are pumped to play the Tav for their first hometown show in YEARS, with special guest Joyce Prescher.Fresh from prime slots on the main stage of the National Celtic Festival, the Low Road fuse trad-roots instrumentation with rock-band intensity, delivering soaring five-part gang vocals with a sonic landscape equal parts folk club and sweaty dive bar.
At the core are Davies’ narrative-driven songs, steeped in Celtic and Appalachian traditions. His anthem ‘Dirt Under My Nails’ has been covered by The Bushwackers, inducted into their Big Australian Songbook, and nominated for a Golden Guitar. The band have showcased at Folk Alliance International and earned an Australian Folk Music Awards Artist of the Year nomination.
Opening the night is Joyce Prescher, a two-time Australian Folk Music Awards finalist creating introspective folk songs blending her European roots with contemporary storytelling, delivering emotionally resonant and quietly powerful performances.
