Session One: Stakeholder Consultation Workshop - Regional neurological health, disability and social justice experiences, needs and priorities

In the Neurological Council's role as a neurological peak body for WA, and as an Advisory Committee member for WA Health’s WA Neurological Health Strategy, we invite representatives from local health, disability, education, justice, aged care and community services to join us for this important consultation workshop to contribute your unique regional and cultural perspectives.
Your insights will help ensure that our state and national reform work remains well connected to regional priorities, needs and service realities. We particularly welcome colleagues working with adult or paediatric neurological clients.

Session Two: Community Lunch & Learn – Tips for Optimising Brain Health & Living with Neurological Conditions

Our brains control EVERYTHING we do, so brain health is critically important to living happy, healthy and productive lives across the lifespan. Join us for a lively lunch and learn discussion that explores:
- Brain health, why it matters and how to protect and improve it
- The nature and impact of neurological conditions
- Managing common neurological conditions and symptoms
- Navigating local, state and virtual services and supports
- Our NeuroKids, NeuroCare, Neuro TeleNurse community neurological nursing services & NeuFriends Peer Support Groups
This information session is open to professionals, community members, and especially people living with brain and neurological conditions and their families and carers, with a community nurse available for brief individual consultations following the session.
