Monash Forge Forging Winter Workshops are back for 2026! In each 3 hour session, you'll learn traditional blacksmithing techniques that involve heating metal in a gas forge and hammering it into pieces that you'll be able to take home, no experience required.Join the team this July for hands-on experience unlike any other!
For safety reasons a session cannot run without the minimum number of applicants. If this occurs, we may need to contact you to refund or reschedule your booking.
DISCLAIMER: Workshops involve working with extremely hot metal near exposed fire, some minor physical activity such as hammering and bending over for periods of time.
This is an 18+ ONLY event.
For safety, you will also be required to provide your own PPE. This includes:
- 100% cotton long sleeve shirt or button-up
- 100% cotton/denim long pants (covering ankles)
- Steel-capped shoes
