Overview: Want to level up your facilitation, leadership and people skills? Join this fun, hands-on workshop to learn how to run engaging activities, workshops and group sessions. Suitable for young people aged 14–25. No previous facilitation experience needed.

The workshop is also a great way to build transferable employability skills including communication, teamwork, leadership, confidence and organisation.

🌟 There may also be opportunities for participants to help facilitate future youth events and programs.

Workshop details:

🗓️ Date: Tuesday 22 September 2026

📍 Location: Visy Cares Hub - 80b Harvester Rd, Sunshine.

⏰ Time: 10am - 2pm

💲 Tickets are $5 per attendee. Please contact us if you are experiencing financial hardship.

🍕 Lunch will be provided.

* Please note that limited places are available. Priority will be given to young people who live, work, study or socialise in Brimbank.

What to expect:

This is a fun, interactive session with activities, discussions and opportunities to practice your skills with others. You'll learn things like:

How to confidently start and lead a workshop or activity
Tips for keeping groups engaged and involved
Managing different personalities and group dynamics
Creating safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces
Problem-solving when things don’t go to plan
Differences between online and face-to-face facilitation
How to plan and structure a session using a simple run sheet
