"Letters to Sala" by Arlene Hutton is a play based on the true story of Sala Garncarz Kirschner. It contrasts a 16-year-old’s survival in Nazi labor camps—where she secretly preserved over 350 letters—with a present-day family conflict over whether to donate those letters to a public institution or keep them private
