'From the Score to the Podium' with Dr.Mike Fansler ABODAViC

ABODA Victoria is proud to present a seminar and conducting masterclass with Dr Mike Fansler, Director of Bands Western Illinois University.Join Mike for a session looking at techniques to prepare scores for the first rehearsal with an ensemble. This will go beyond basic score study techniques and will look at how to make musical decisions about phrasing, pacing, chord voicing, and dynamic balance. After the lecture portion, there is will be a practical podium session for Podium Experience participants to try out these techniques in front of a live ensemble.
A limited number of Podium Experience tickets are available alongside general registration. General registration includes observation of the podium session.
NOTE: All participants must have a Working With Children's Check
