Some People Talk About Violence
Unalived.
A silly word for a serious moment we all have to face one day.
Some People Talk About Violence is a reflection of a world where our most serious conversations are censored, filtered and platformed by algorithms. As a girl sits, staring at her screen, her mother watches on and her brother rushes home. None of them have the words to navigate the moment they are in. This production asks, when we lose the ability to say hard things, how monstrous do our thoughts and actions become in that void?
Trigger warnings:
Flashing lights, Loud noises, Sexual References, Masks, Course language, Depictions of death and suicide, Depictions of kidnapping, Depictions of violence, Depictions of mental Illness.
