Awareness to Action: Supporting safer student communities
About
This interactive workshop is designed for student leaders at ECU, to equip you with the skills and confidence to identify and respond to harmful behaviour to help prevent gender-based violence.You’ll learn about healthy relationships, consent, recognising red flags, practical ways to be an ethical bystander and how to respond with care, compassion and respect if someone opens up to you about an experience. You'll also learn about ECU's processes to report an incident of gender-based violence and refer to ECU supports.
The session will be delivered by We Are WM, who provide evidence-based trauma-informed prevention education designed by public health practitioners and informed by psychologists, educators and young people.
