• Background:
The SALHN Paediatric General Clinics and the SALHN GP Integration Unit in collaboration with the Adelaide PHN are seeking to convene a GP focus group with GPs caring for families who have children and young people diagnosed with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders, treated with psychotropic medication. This includes:
Stimulant and non-stimulant medication
- Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors
- Second generation antipsychotics
• Purpose:
The purpose of this focus group is to:
- Capture the GPs perspectives on the proposed “Paediatrician/General Practitioner Collaborative Care for the Pharmacological Management of ADHD and other neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders in paediatrics” model of care
- Discuss the rationale and the logistics of the proposed model of care
- Capture GP experiences with current patients on medications for ADHD and other neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders
- Support co-design elements of the revised model to ensure feasibility and effectiveness
• Participation in the focus group will result in:
- Reimbursement for your time in line with the Adelaide PHN sitting fee
- Certificate for self-logging CPD 2 hours RP
