Dear parent/carer,
You are receiving this communication because the school has discussed with you the need to formalise a meeting where we can discuss how to best provide support for your child.
A Student Support Group (SSG) is a partnership between schools, parents/carers, the student and relevant agencies. The group works together to plan and support the educational, health, social, cultural and emotional wellbeing of students with diverse learning needs.
Please use this system to book in an appointment time. Please note, SSG’s will take no more than 45 minutes. Our expectation is that your child will attend for some (if not all) of the meeting. It is important that the student plays an active and age-appropriate role in the SSG and contributes to the decisions and actions that are agreed, either in person or via a trusted adult.
Given that many of the school staff attending the SSG are teachers, please choose your date/time carefully. It may be difficult to reschedule once you have selected a slot.
If you need to cancel, please contact the College at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.
If you require an interpreter to support you during the meeting, please indicate this when booking.
So that we can plan effectively for the SSG, please complete the booking process by Wednesday 30 April.
