This high-energy Broadway show is inspired by the real-life newsboy strike of 1899. It tells the tale of charismatic Jack Kelly and his ragged crew of spirited newsies, who spend their days selling papers on the bustling streets of New York City. When publishing titans raise their distribution prices at the expense of the newsies, the working children from every borough must come together and campaign for justice.Newsies is a vibrant show with big dance numbers and powerhouse vocal performances, accompanied by a multi-award winning score. With comedic performances and endearing characters, this musical is certain to inspire and delight audiences.
Running Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a 20 minute intermission.
Rating: Music Theatre International gives Disney's Newsies a PG rating. We advise that this show contains some choreographed physical combat.
