Prescribing assistive technology within Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) requires clinicians to consider how the home environment, participant goals, support needs, and everyday routines work together. Hosted within a real SDA home, this practical education session gives Occupational Therapists the opportunity to explore bedroom and bathroom assistive technology solutions in context. Participants will gain practical insights into commonly prescribed equipment including shower commodes, electric profiling beds, and pressure care mattresses, while exploring how thoughtful prescription can improve comfort, dignity, participation, and daily living outcomes for individuals with complex needs. Through real-world discussion and application, attendees will strengthen their confidence in navigating the practical realities of equipment prescription within SDA environments. Learning Objectives:
