OVERVIEW:
This workshop aims to introduce attendees to the commercialisation considerations CGT developers face and provide a peek-behind-the-curtain for manufacturing options in Melbourne. The ANZ ESP Subcommittee has partnered with presenters to increase understanding around:
- How to transition a product out of the academic lab and into a commercial manufacturing setting (feat. Cell Therapies).
- How to think about IP, patents, and Australia's tax incentives to facilitate product translation (feat. patent attorneys FB Rice)
- What it's like to transition from the pre-clinical to commercial space as a small biotech in Australia (feat. Arovella).
- What the Australian government's cooperative research centres are doing to facilitate better CGT translation (feat. SMART-CRC).
Demonstrations of the CliniMACS Prodigy® and tours of the clean rooms at Cell Therapies will be run in parallel with the educational sessions. Since these activities are dependent on the number of registrants, groups (and time slots) will be allocated following closure of registrations.
