Compered by Alan Glover, this will be an afternoon concert to cheer all on the shortest day of the year.Six inspiring musical acts: The Doctor's Wife, Steel City Sue, Derek Dowding, Gabrielle Newland, Tripple Effect, Two Voices in the Crowd
Our concert is raising funds to help save the Link Road Forest in western Newcastle and Lake Macquarie — a beautiful native forest rich in biodiversity, home to resident koalas, at least 17 threatened species, and thousands of native animals.
Our goal is for the government to purchase and permanently protect the forest as a national park for the benefit and wellbeing of Lower Hunter communities. Preserving this precious forest is vital for biodiversity, climate resilience, and nature-based recreation for future generations.
