Prof. Géza Szilvay, the creator of the internationally renowned Colourstrings method, gives an introduction to the key principles and philosophy behind this child-friendly approach.

The session explores how the method approaches the very beginning stages of violin playing through:

• relaxed and natural posture and movements
• developing inner hearing and good intonation
• integrating instrumental technique, musical intelligence (musical literacy), and musical emotions
• music-making and chamber music develop social skills, and they’re a natural part of the approach
