Facilitator: Tess Duddy and Ben Talbot-DunneShedding the Blues ran its first Vocal Workshop series in 2025 with over 40 members participating. The workshops were an outstanding success with all the participants thoroughly enjoying the content and style of delivery. In 2026 we are again having a three workshop series facilitated By Tess and Ben from the New Swell Choir.
Tess completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne in 2009 and her Masters in Opera at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, USA, in 2011.
International performances include Lolette in La Rondine, title roles in L’Enfant et les Sortileges and Rita, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar, and Clorinda in La Cenerentola with Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Ben is a guitarist and composer, and develops the song arrangements and accompanies the group on either electric or acoustic guitar during the workshops, while Tess explains the concepts and leads the learning and performance parts.
