2026 The Living Museum
The Living Museum is an assessment task wherein students choose one woman from history whose life will be researched, as will the context of their times. Students will be encouraged to adopt a feminist lens to fully appreciate the impact the individual had upon their life, particularly considering their status as a woman.
The students will spend some class time preparing for this special event wherein staff, students and parents come along to a 'living museum' - the students will perform speeches on request (like animatronic museum exhibits).
Visitors may interrogate the historical figures. Students will answer based on the research they have conducted. All parents, staff and students who visit the living museum will complete a survey/questionnaire that will contribute to the students’ assessment.
