Global Optical & Quantum Communications Connectivity
About
Join the Australian Space Agency and leaders across government, industry and research over two days to help shape the future of optical and quantum communications. This workshop brings together experts working across free-space optical and quantum communications and the multi-faceted space and ground segment system architectures —including R&D, sub-systems, data relay management, and security.
Listen to lightning presentations from space agencies, Government, premier research institutions and industry leaders—and take part in focused discussions on:
• The future of space operations, including lunar and deep space prospects
• Emerging industry priorities
• Dual-use pursuits in communications.
Several questions will be discussed, such as:
• What does the end-user market profile look like for an optical/quantum global connected ground network in the near and longer term, both domestically and internationally?
• What technical / R&D challenges are needed to be addressed software- and hardware-wise?
• How much does it cost to build a global commercial network (for civil and/or dual-use) using existing and required infrastructure to achieve high commercial signal availability targets – What would it cost Australia to be part of it, including domestic developments?
• What are specific actions needed of government(s), industry, and universities for optical/quantum global connectivity to develop? How does coordinating interoperability play a part?
Be part of the conversation that will help shape next-generation communications. Register to secure your place.
