Created by two local women who know devastating grief firsthand, this evening is a safe space for honest conversations, healing, and hope. But most importantly, it’s a night to come together, have some fun, let your hair down, and connect with people who truly understand.
Together, we will honour loved ones lost to suicide, raise vital awareness around grief, and remind our community that no one has to walk these journeys alone—while enjoying a fantastic night out with great company and live music!
Whether you have personally experienced loss, are supporting someone who has, or want to be part of building a more compassionate community around mental health—you are warmly welcome.
Because behind every statistic is a human being. And every grieving heart deserves support.

Supporting a Vital Cause
100% of profits from this evening will be donated directly to First Light Widowed Support Group. First Light is Australia’s only national charity dedicated to supporting young widowed people. They provide vital connections, peer support, and resources to help people navigate the profound isolation and unique challenges of losing a partner.
🎶 Live Music & Room to Breathe. We know how heavy grief is to carry every single day.
This is a night to let your shoulders drop, share a laugh, and hit the dance floor. There will be a live band and plenty of moments of genuine joy, because honoring our loved ones can—and should—include celebration and fun.
Fundraising Raffles: Local Ipswich businesses have thrown their arms around us, donating some beautiful prizes for our raffles. Every dollar raised from these goes directly into making sure another young widowed person gets the support they desperately need.
Contact: For any event enquiries or if you are a local business looking to sponsor the event or donate to raffles please contact Leanne Atkins at butterflyhearts08@gmail.com
