Come and be part of your local ASM branch at our upcoming Annual General Meeting. Elections will be held for the positions of Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.We are also delighted to welcome The Honourable Dr Brett Mason as our guest speaker. Dr Mason is Chair of the Queensland Museum Board, a member of Griffith University Council, Adjunct Professor in the School of Justice at the Queensland University of Technology, and until recently served as Chair of the Council of the National Library of Australia. He is a former Senator for Queensland and former Australian Ambassador to The Hague and Permanent Representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Dr Mason is the author of several acclaimed books, including Saving Lieutenant Kennedy: The Heroic Story of the Australian Who Helped Rescue JFK (NewSouth, 2023) and Wizards of Oz: How Oliphant and Florey Helped Win the War and Shape the Modern World (NewSouth, 2022).
