Tic Disorder Treatment 2 Day Training (SOLD OUT)

A two-day training course where participants will gain knowledge and practical skills in supporting people with tic disorders.Participants will receive step-by-step training in the diagnostic process, assessment, and delivery of two first line evidence-based interventions for tics – Comprehensive Behavioural intervention for Tics (CBiT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). There will be three hours of online learning/modules to complete prior to attending the in-person workshops, which will cover the background to Tic Disorders and Behavioural Interventions.
The two-day course will be delivered by two CBIT/ ERP training facilitators – Dr Amanda Maxwell (UNSW Tic Clinic) and Mr Ivan Mathieson (The Laneway Clinic).
Three supervision sessions are included as part of this training package.
*Please note that this training is designed for clinicians who are working in, or intending to work in, a clinical setting where they may provide psychological intervention to individuals with tic disorders. We expect that clinicians that complete this training will have capacity within their role (e.g. time, caseload, organisational support) to deliver the Tic Disorder intervention to at least one client with a tic disorder following this training.
