BIO:

Reuben Tsang

Praised for his “technical wizardry and versatility” (Sounds Like Sydney), Cairns-born Reuben Tsang began learning the piano with Koko Julian before moving to Brisbane to study at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, first under the guidance of Natasha Vlassenko OAM and, presently, with Daniel de Borah. He holds a Bachelor of Music with Distinction and First Class Honours and was awarded the 2024 Conservatorium Medal.

Reuben won First Prize, Best Recital, and the People’s Choice Award at the 2024 Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition. He also received multiple prizes at the 2023 Sydney International Piano Competition, was a semi-finalist at the 2023 Aarhus International Piano Competition in Denmark, and won the Elisabeth Murdoch First Prize at the 2022 Great Romantics Competition in Melbourne.

Over the last two years, Reuben has appeared as concerto soloist with the Melbourne and Queensland Symphony Orchestras and has performed nationally in recital and at festivals including the Bendigo Chamber Music Festival, Canberra International Music Festival, Queensland Art Song Festival, Megalong Music Festival, Out West Piano Fest, and the Musical Chairs Chamber Music Festival in Montreal.
In September 2026, Reuben will commence postgraduate studies on scholarship at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under the tutelage of Kathryn Stott.

Haneulle Lovell

Haneulle is a violinist and musical collaborator whose sensitive and intuitive touch has
garnered her a diverse performance portfolio as an emerging Australian performer. Graduating
with an Honours (Class I) degree from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in 2025,
Haneulle has studied with Associate Professor Michele Walsh and received valuable mentoring
during her degree from members of internationally renowned ensembles such as the Australian
String Quartet, Takacs Quartet, Cuarteto Quiroga and the LA Philharmonic Wind Quintet. An
invested chamber and orchestral musician, Haneulle has represented Griffith University with
her piano quartet (Orleigh Quartet) at the international 2024 Musical Chairs Chamber Festival
held in Montreal, as well as touring with the Australian Youth Orchestra to Europe last year. She
was a Fellow at the inaugural Megalong Music Festival in 2025 and has appeared at the Tyalgum
Music Festival twice. Having successfully completed the Queensland Symphony Orchestra
Academy in 2024, Haneulle appears regularly with the orchestra as a casual violinist and looks
forward to being on contract again in 2026. Haneulle brings her love and commitment for
musical togetherness and community into many facets of her playing career, and these values
have recently been acknowledged through the generous awards of the Conservatorium Medal
(co-recipient, 2024) and the Richard Pollett Memorial Award (2025).
