Ditch the phone and be a little more ‘in the moment’.Why not sketch and journal your next holiday. Using a small sketchbook, a few pens, a tiny sketching palette and a water brush, learn how to quickly record that beautiful plaza, famous building, rustic cottage or that unforgettable apple cake! Travel journalling is a mixture of drawing, painting and a touch of scrapbooking, creating a book of memories that won’t disappear into your photo library.
Liz will go through some of her own favourite travel sketchbooks and then share some simple tips and tricks to quickly create your own travel journal. We’ll do some quick sketches, learn how to capture the moment, collecting meaningful mementos or using found objects to draw on. We might even head outside for 30 mins to record our own little tourist destination nearby.
Equipment:· Bring a photo from your favourite holiday destination (real or wish list!)
