Two Athletes. One Future. Welfare, Performance & Longevity
About
Two Athletes. One Future.Welfare, Performance & Longevity Series
Presented by Equestrian NSW
What threatens equestrian sport?
Is it injury of the horse or rider in or out of competition? Poor recovery or subtle lameness, where the pain gets too much to push on? Safety risks and outdated training philosophies? Public perception?
The future of horse sport depends on our ability to create sustainable, ethical, evidence-informed systems that support both horse and rider for the long term.
That is why Equestrian NSW is proud to launch Two Athletes. One Future. - a new four-part educational initiative focused on longevity in equestrian sport.
Across four online sessions, the series will bring together internationally respected voices in welfare, neuroscience, biomechanics, soundness, rider influence… to explore the evolving science and philosophy behind long-term equine and rider wellbeing.
This series has been designed for everyone involved in equestrian sport, regardless of discipline or level of participation. It is for every horse. Every rider. Every coach. Every owner. Every official.
🎟️ All sessions will be FREE for Equestrian Australia members.
The first event announcement will be released shortly, and we are incredibly excited to share the presenters and conversations we have been building behind the scenes. The series will be hosted by Kristen Closson and Sue Cunningham.
