All skill levels.Ever wondered just how artists and designers manage to draw interiors, streetscapes and landscapes, and get the perspective looking ‘just right’?
Once you learn some simple rules, you can nail perspective too!
This class will introduce you to some very simple rules of using perspective including 1, 2 and even 3-point perspective. We’ll look how some famous artists have used perspective effectively and then learn about vanishing points, horizon lines, the role of vertical lines and a few clever tricks to remember how to ‘see’ angles when you are drawing or painting on location. We’ll then spend an hour experimenting and practising to build a better understanding of how we can better ‘see the lines’. We’ll end the workshop drawing one of our local boat sheds using our new 2-point perspective skills.
Equipment you’ll need - this will be provided unless you prefer to bring your own fave pens and pencils:
