The Pastoral Team is excited to welcome In Your Skin to the College. Our guest presenter will be working with Year 10, 11 and 12 for LiveWell@Loreto Day, to discuss respectful relationships.
Many young people are facing social and interpersonal issues that they report feeling unequipped to manage. Consequently, many young people have voiced their desire for practical information about navigating respectful relationships, particularly with respect to consent and communication skills.
Working from an evidence based approach, inyourskin® advocates for healthy and consenting relationships, and is particularly interested in the prevention of sexual violence among young people. As such, we facilitate parent information sessions where we speak to parents and carers about the world of relationships which our young people are attempting to navigate.
We also discuss what we can do, as parents, carers, and role models, to positively encourage our young people to develop healthy and realistic expectations of themselves and others.
If you are interested in continuing these types of conversations at home, we encourage you to attend our face to face session for parents and carers.Whilst the presenter works with our Year 10 - 12 students each year, all parents and carers are welcome.
