FoLa Post Forum: Taste of Tasmania (SOLD OUT)
About
Don’t rush home after the Forum and Gala and miss an extraordinary Tasmanian experience we have coordinated for you!Our friend Jacqui Jones founder of Flourish Events Tasmania and Flourish Events Goldcoast has created a private day tour exclusively for WCEI, showcasing some of the very best of the Coal River Valley.
You will be collected from Hobart on Saturday 15th at 9.30am and begin your day in historic Richmond, home to Australia’s oldest bridge still in use, beautiful Georgian architecture and delightful boutique shopping.
From there, you will visit Killara Distillery for a very special personal tour and tastings with WCEI member Kristy Lark-Booth. Kristy is the founder of Killara, Australia’s first distillery fully owned and operated by a second-generation Australian distiller and she has just been named joint Distiller of the Year at the inaugural Australian Distillers Association Awards 2026. At Killara, the team produces single malt whisky, gin, vodka and seasonal liqueurs, with brandy set to launch later this year. The distillery sits on 26 acres where botanicals, including juniper for gin, are grown on site, with trial patches of barley for whisky. Kirsty describes their approach as “garden to glass,” with all products made and bottled by hand using locally made copper pot stills.
Your final stop is the beautiful Prospect Country House, where we’ll enjoy a very special paddock-to-plate dining experience followed by a private tour of this historic, convict-built property.
Prospect Country House is proudly owned by Libby and John Pooley, who purchased the property in 2017. Their passion for Tasmania’s Tourism and their persistence for perfection make them the perfect caretakers of Prospect House. You’ll notice them in all the small details at Prospect, from artwork to carefully curated antiques, their love for the property shines through.
We’ll return to Hobart at approximately 3.30pm.
This is a custom-designed experience created just for us, with limited places available.
