The Guessing Game
About
About the WorkshopThe Guessing Game is an interactive workshop for voice teachers seeking a clearer, more systematic approach to identifying the likely causes of vocal issues. This workshop focuses on identifying likely functional causes of vocal issues within the context of voice training and habilitation. It does NOT cover medical diagnosis or pathology assessment.
Many teachers have a wide range of exercises and techniques at their disposal, but still find themselves wondering *why* a particular vocal issue is occurring or which intervention is most appropriate. This workshop introduces a practical 3-step framework designed to help you move beyond trial-and-error teaching by collecting meaningful clues, identifying likely causes, and making more informed teaching decisions.
Throughout the workshop, you'll participate in a series of practical exercises that help bridge the gap between theory and application. You'll learn how to combine your understanding of voice science, listening skills, observations, and student feedback into a more structured problem-solving process, allowing you to intervene with greater clarity, confidence, and effectiveness.
