About
This hands-on 1/2 day workshop with Mark Tupman from Productive Ecology will discuss different types of biofertilisers, including inoculants, compost/vermicast extracts, and bioferments. Mark will also take you through a few methods of application including seed/planting treatments, foliar sprays, and soil drenches.What we'll cover:
- Which nutrients you need based on soil and plant testing
- Develop fertiliser formulations to meet your nutritional requirements
- The most efficient/practical ways to apply them
- When you should apply what based on seasonal crop requirements
For the practical activity, we will be making a DIY foliar liquid fertiliser formulation that is a combination of nitrogen, potassium and trace elements, and applying to a paddock.
Participants will take home 5 litres of the brew that we make at the event.
