IX. Love Life High Tea
About
At 36 years old, I was diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive breast cancer. My treatment included chemotherapy, radiation, a double mastectomy, hysterectomy, and medically induced menopause. Beyond the physical challenges, the emotional and financial toll of cancer treatment is significant.Through my own experience, I saw firsthand the importance of practical and emotional support for patients and their families. Access to simple support—such as help with groceries, fuel, or creating comforting spaces in treatment environments—can have a profound impact during an incredibly difficult time.
This event was founded following my recovery as a way to give back to the community and support others navigating similar journeys. What began as a small, informal gathering has grown into a well-established annual fundraising event attended by more than 100 guests each year.
Over the past eight years, we have raised over $60,000 for cancer-related charities and initiatives, built strong relationships with local businesses and sponsors and created a meaningful community event that brings people together for a shared cause.
The event not only raises funds but also educates, fosters hope, connection, and resilience within the community.
