NZJ2027 | Western Australia Orientation Day
About
The New Zealand Jamboree Orientation Day (ODay) is a key milestone in preparing for your international Scouting adventure. This event provides participants, parents and leaders with important information about the Australian Contingent and the New Zealand Jamboree experience.Throughout the session, attendees will learn about the Jamboree program, travel arrangements, contingent structure, support and wellbeing systems, expectations of participants and the Australian Contingent Code of Conduct. There will also be opportunities to meet members of the Contingent Management Team, ask questions and connect with fellow participants before departure.
As part of the Orientation Day, participants will receive their Australian Contingent Kit, including the items that will be worn throughout the Jamboree experience.
Attendance at an Orientation Day is considered an expectation for all participants who live within a three-hour drive of the nominated venue. These sessions contain important information that will help ensure all participants are well prepared, informed and ready for an incredible New Zealand Jamboree experience.
The Australian Contingent has been overwhelmed by the incredible interest in attending the New Zealand Jamboree, resulting in one of the largest contingents we have ever assembled heading to New Zealand. As a result, venue capacities for our Orientation Days are limited and must be carefully managed.
To ensure we can accommodate all participants, each participant may be accompanied by one parent/carer or family member only. We understand that some families may have unique circumstances that require additional attendees. If this applies to you, please contact the CMT at nzj2027@scouts.com.au prior to registering so that we can discuss your situation and determine whether an exception can be accommodated within the venue capacity restrictions.
We look forward to welcoming you as we take another exciting step towards New Zealand Jamboree 2026/27!
